What is needed to do a title transfer?

Please bring the title, all sellers and buyers must be present with State issued photo ID's (Driver's License), the mileage, truck or trailer weights, and current proof of insurance, and payment.

What is current proof of insurance?

If you are purchasing a vehicle and want to put a license plate on it, you also need proof of insurance ID, declarations page, or insurance binder, in your name and matching drivers license.

What type of ID is accepted?

You must have a valid PA Drivers License with current address, PA Photo ID or US Armed Forces Common Access Card.

How long does a transfer take?

We can do a transfer in approximately 10 minutes if all parties involved have their correct paperwork.

Can I, as seller, just sign the title & give it to the buyer to bring in?

No, sellers and buyers must be present and sign in front of the notary.
